This is a present. A gift.

It has something inside for each of us, but I haven’t opened it yet. That’s for tomorrow’s surprise.

The best thing about gifts is the giver behind them, and their kindness and friendship. You could say this is friendship in a package. And to be able to parcel up and post some friendship makes me very happy!

I love this parcel. It is my very first present! And I love that it is wrapped in red paper. My Chinese friends tell me that this is lucky. And I certainly do feel very lucky to have such special pals.

And of course, I love paper. And I love that presents are wrapped in paper. So I am looking forward to shredding a lot of wrapping paper this Christmas season.

They didn’t invent gift-wrapping, but the people behind Hallmark Cards are usually given the credit of turning it into a fine art. And Hallmark also seems to be behind turning Christmas movies into a fine art, because they have made a lot of them, even one called A Dog Named Christmas! And that’s a wrap!
