This is a paper receipt.

I have heard that paper receipts are becoming more rare. So I plan to enjoy as many as possible before they disappear altogether. In fact, they are becoming a very valuable chewing commodity. And once they are ripped up, I guess it is a read receipt!

And I know all about commodities. I have a keen financial brain. For instance, I know that if I quickly invest my ribbie in my stomach, I have a good chance of getting another, immediately doubling my investment. Now that’s consumer confidence. And as ribbies make me very happy, I like to call this mood swing trading.

But there’s a lot to be said for munching receipts. I see it as providing an important social service. No-one needs to be reminded of how much money they have spent. It is always better to give than to keep the receipt.
