December 12 is all about paying some attention. Instead of passing by, why not offer a connection?

Today, connect with someone who might be otherwise overlooked.

There are lots of people who move in and out of our lives on a daily basis and yet all too often they are taken for granted or even just completely ignored. They might be someone that in many ways you really count upon to keep your day running smoothly, and yet you may not even know their name. So today, take the time to say good morning to your local street sweeper, or hello to the checkout clerk at your supermarket, or wish a good day to the barista who made your coffee, or chat with the cleaner in your office, or thank the driver of your bus, or wish merry Christmas to your local tree seller … in other words, no matter which of these may apply to you, acknowledge any one or all of the many people who actually make your day.

And as you make those Christmas connections don’t forget to widen the network through all the usual ways – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, email – and share some common ground.
