December 7 and another window new. Here’s an act of kindness with much goodness it will do.

Today, tell someone you are proud of them.

Sometimes we forget to acknowledge the achievements of those closest to us, but it is so important to show people you recognise and value their efforts. Maybe someone has had to deal with a difficult challenge, or has worked hard to achieve a goal, or has fixed a broken Christmas ornament (yes, Deputy, we are even proud of you!), or blossomed from a terrified little dog to a handsome member of the London social scene (yes, Huw, we are especially proud of you!). Acknowledging pride in the achievements of someone else is a demonstration of your connection and bond. Being proud of someone else’s achievements isn’t shameless pridefulness. It’s love.
