I’m Smurf and I really am afraid of the dark.
As you may know, I was abandoned. I was left tied to a gate, unable to leave, unable to find help. I was, in every kind of way, left in the dark. Luckily, help came to me and I was rescued. But I have been left with a fear of the dark. They say that a fear of the dark can be tied to a fear of abandonment. Well, it sure is!
But they also say that it is darkest before the dawn. I would say that being tied to that gate was certainly my darkest hour. And now that I am with my wonderful rescuers, the sun is shining and things get brighter every day!
They have made me see the light! Humans can be kind, gentle, patient, and understanding. And they also have treats! I am putting the dark days behind me!
But there is one light I am still waiting to see. I want to see that I’ve been chosen and that my adoption has got the green light!
Please contact Glendee Dog Rescue to adopt me. My future is bright!
