I’m Alfie. And I want to know … what’s it all about!?
Based on a footloose and fancy-free adaptation of Alfie (1966).
You know what? When I look back on my little short life and all the humans I’ve known, and think of all the things they’ve done to me, and all the wonderful things I’ve done for them no matter what, you’d think I’ve had the worst of it along the line. But what have I got out of it? Well, I haven’t come out of it hating humans. And now that I’ve been rescued, I’ve got a toy or two, some decent gear, rides in the car, I’ve got me health back after some really good meals. But I still ain’t attached! That’s right, no-one has adopted me. I ain’t got me peace of mind – and if you ain’t got that, you ain’t got nothing. I dunno. It seems to me if they ain’t got you one way they’ve got you another. So what’s the answer? That’s what I keep asking myself – what’s it all about? Know what I mean?
It’s about finding a home. I really am one of the most amazing little fellows you could ever wish to meet. Despite everything that has happened to me in my very short life, my understanding of humans only goes as far as the good stuff. When it comes to the pain I’m like any other adoption hopeful – I don’t want to know. And I don’t want to remember. Meanwhile, I am living the life in London’s East End, staring at squirrels and riding in cars with girls.
If you know what it’s all about and want to adopt me, then please contact Terrier SOS UK for your own little scruff of a Cockney London ladies’ man (well, Cockney via Spain).
