Dark Matters, with Smurf

I’m Smurf. And I’m afraid of the dark.

It’s true. But as they say, “I’m not afraid of heights, I’m afraid of falling.” Well, I’m not afraid of the dark, I’m afraid of what might be lurking there.

But it might just be that I actually have a fear of being alone. You see, I was abandoned. That’s right. I was tied to a post and abandoned. This makes no sense to me. At least give me a chance to walk around! Why tie me up if you are not coming back? But people are strange.

And so I am not really afraid of the dark. I just have a few recent memories of some rather bad people. So, as I see it, it’s a temporary problem. One that will be fixed by being adopted.

If you would like to help me get over my fear of the dark, please contact Glendee Dog Rescue to adopt one of the most special dogs you will ever meet. Even if I do say so myself.

In the full light of day, it seems obvious to me.
