That’s Jeffervescent! – by Jefferson Airplane
This is a chair.
This house has many chairs. And sofas too.
Huw has an armchair in the bedroom that is his preferred sleeping spot. The legendary Leo had many chairs … a kitchen chair, a Wreck Room chair, even a bathroom chair.
And I think it is quite appropriate that Leo had so many chairs. He was, after all, the original Chairman of the Board. But the chair also started out as a sign of authority. And so naturally, Leo needed to have a seat of authority in every room, in his distinguished position as Lord of the Manor.
But this particular chair isn’t just any chair. This was Leo’s Thinking chair. It is the chair in the Lookout Library and it used to be right beside Human’s desk, where Leo liked to sleep all day while Human worked. We have moved it so that it now looks over the whole room. And Howard and I love it. You see, we never got to meet Leo, but sitting in his Thinking chair gives us a chance to get to know the legend. The chair remembers Leo. And everybody loves Leo’s chair.
And in fact, there is a famous chair called Memory. It was made by a man called Tokujin Yoshioka, for a company called Moroso, which is just down the road from us. Isn’t life strange?
Everybody loves Leo. And that’s Jeffervescent!
