That’s Jeffervescent! – by Jefferson Airplane
This is Jeffervescence.
Well, you are looking at me, Jefferson Airplane, in a state of Jeffervescence. But it might be as close as possible to seeing actual Jeffervescence.
We were all playing on top of pillow mountain, inside out and round and round, when I turned myself upside down … and stayed that way.
There is a lot to be said for looking at the world this way. I know Howard is a big fan of the upside down viewpoint – although he usually achieves this perspective by relaxing on his back. But I decided to get the same insight by throwing myself into the game like a torpedo-shaped pig in the middle.
You see, gravity doesn’t just make you more down to earth. It also attracts things to each other. So the law of gravity is the law of attraction. And I guess that’s why they say falling in love. It’s gravity! So, as I see it, this means that if you really like someone you should throw yourself at them … literally. This is certainly the approach I take. I am known for hurling myself from across the room and through the air just to land on the object of my affection – human or pooch or kitty, it is all the same. Playing hard to get is way off the mark. The play bit I understand, but the hard to get bit I do not.
When love turns you upside down? That’s Jeffervescent!
