Today I discovered that the house phone is portable, that I can get a dial tone but I still can’t work out how to make a call, that I’m half way there because I got “line in use”, that “line in use” might just mean that Jeff is on the other handset, that most of the time Aubrey is on-line, that Huw keeps everyone in line, that I am still confused as to why everyone says there are so many lines in the place but I can’t see any boundaries, that you should expect my call but I just have to work out if I’ve got your number.
