Howard’s Way Ahead – by Howard Spring

Today I discovered that a lot of people around here have fireworks, that a lot of people around here like to set off fireworks a lot, that apparently fireworks are to scare away evil spirits, that there must be a lot of evil spirits around our neighbourhood, that maybe the fireworks are not working if they need so many, that obviously Halloween is going to be very busy, that I am not worried at all by fireworks, that maybe instead of fireworks I should just get out there and chase away the evil spirits so that the squirrels and birdies can get some sleep.
