That’s Jeffervescent! – by Jefferson Airplane
This is my hair.
This is, literally, the hair of the dog.
I love hair. One might say I’m hair-brained about hair. I love my hair, Aubrey’s hair, Howard’s hair, Huw’s hair, “give me down to there, hair”.
I especially love Huw’s hair. Sometimes I like to grab his ear tassels, or hang onto his tail. Sometimes I am quite honestly just hanging by a hair. He never seems to mind though. He puts up with it without turning a hair.
Hair is so important that there are songs and whole musicals written about it. Of course, there’s the musical Hair, which as far as I can tell was about a political movement based on being able to grow hair. But before this, Nellie Forbush was gonna wash that man right outa her hair in South Pacific. And lots and lots of people have cut their hair in movies. But usually, when someone cuts their hair in a movie, it is a sign that they have lost the movie plot.
Someone once suggested I could trim my bangs. But I think that would make my head look funny. Plus, I am not having a breakdown, so there is no haircut on the cards. I am going to keep my hair on.
A hairy situation? That’s Jeffervescent!
