That's Jeffervescent!

Bedtime Story

That’s Jeffervescent! – by Jefferson Airplane

I love the bed.

And I love the big bed. Because I like to snooze with Human.

But it’s not just Human and me. Dogs have been sleeping in the “big bed” for centuries. It’s good for me and it’s good for Human, all the clever people say so.

And I have worked out a special way of making the bed. First, I like to hop and pounce and twist and turn until I have the duvet just so. Done just right, this usually results in the duvet being curled up until it resembles a soft serve ice cream cone in the middle of the bed. Perfect.

Then, despite my modest size, I like to take up as much room as I can by lying right across the bed. I think this is because I want to make myself as big as possible, just in case of any unanticipated intrusion by a bear.

It’s true, there are not many bears seen in London, but I think that is because there are a lot of brave terriers making themselves as big as possible by lying across beds.

And of course the best way to wake up in the morning is with a vigorous silly hour with Huw and Aubrey. I just know this gets Human’s day started in the right way every time!

Sharing the bed? That’s Jeffervescent!
