Whether you’re a sofa spud or a couch potato, the sofa is quite possibly the most important piece of furniture for any dog.

Fortunately, chairs and sofas also seem to be some of Human’s favourite pieces of furniture. And so we have a huge collection all round the house.

And in this passion for seating, Human isn’t alone. There is a video on YouTube, by a fellow chair-lover called Tony Zhou, which salutes chairs in movies (and incidentally, is also one of Human’s favourite YouTube videos).

So, we are fortunate that Human shares a love of chairs as we share a love of reclining in them.

Sofas also have a lot of other important purposes. You can hide “behind the sofa” if a dog movie takes an unexpectedly unhappy turn. You can search the sofa for ribbies … or for change … to buy more ribbies. And best of all, if you have enough sofas, strategically arranged, you can enjoy the most awesome sofa zoomies. Human tends to be the one “behind the sofa” for these.

Sofas are so important, that Frank Zappa sang a song about one.

So a sofa? That’s good. But many sofas? That’s Jeffervescent!
