That’s Jeffervescent! – by Jefferson Airplane
This is one of my favourite toys. It is a super rubbery ball that is apparently Planet Earth. It’s true, it is a small world after all, but it is the world, nevertheless! And I really like it. You might even say I have the whole world in my paw!
I’m not entirely sure the ball is geographically accurate, but it is the thought that counts. And I really use it more for bouncing than for travel plans.
But there’s more to this world ball as far as I’m concerned.
You see, there is a saying about rescue. Rescuing one dog can’t change the world, but it can change the world for that one dog. Now, I don’t mean to get corny, terriers are never corny. But it really is kind of true. It makes all the difference in the world!
And this is important to remember, because rescue can get really overwhelming for everyone involved. How to save us all!? There are so many of us out there waiting and wishing for a home. And the waiting room never empties. But every little bit helps, every little bit does a world of good … And that’s the important thing.
Look at me! I went from being left alone in a house for days at a time, wondering where everyone had gone. Now I can’t get Human to leave me alone! Ha ha! And I have awesome Aubrey and Huw, and all my pals in the dog park, and all my new adventures. I sleep in the big bed, I snooze on the sofa, and I love a tickle.
Now I have family. Now, I have the world at my feet …
And that’s Jeffervescent.
