That’s Jeffervescent! – by Jefferson Airplane

You probably know about my fascination with dry leaves. I Jeffervesced about it so much I even made a video! Chasing a dry leaf is one of my favourite precision sports. Well, today I discovered a new leaf-based joy … floating leaves!

It’s been so warm, and today was the hottest day of the year so far, so I went poolside! We emptied out my plastic bottle pit and filled it with water. It had quite a few leaves in it from being under the tree and these turned out to be wonderful fun!

If you haven’t tried it, bobbing for leaves in a plastic bottle pit filled with water and emptied of plastic bottles is fantastic! I know that’s quite a specifically defined pleasure, but the delight is in the detail.

I am thinking of trying apple bobbing for Halloween as I also love apples. Maybe I should find an aquatic-themed costume?

So, anyway, I cooled off on this hot day with a spot of leaf chasing. If you think I make dry leaves look fun, just add water!
