That’s Jeffervescent! – by Jefferson Airplane
This Saturday just past, Human went to Wales again, saw the grand humans and Watson, and then they all visited the beach. I was so disappointed that we didn’t get to go that I decided to occupy myself with some reading.
Having made my way through “S” previously, I decided to start on the French authors. But I thought to myself, I don’t understand French yet, so maybe I will whet my appetite with a biography.
So I went for this monster book, a biography of Georges Perec. Apparently he liked writing and mathematics, so I suspect he got really good A levels. From what I “read” of the cover as well, he had amazing hair. And, as you know, we are all about hair in this house so he clearly fits right in. He also has a very groovy beard, so it may be that he lives round the corner in Shoreditch.
Anyway, Human came home, found I had been reading, and didn’t say a thing. Human just picked up the book, which I had left in the hallway as evidence of my intellectual triumph, pieced all the bits of cover together, and stuck the book back in the same place. I haven’t touched it since. Turns out, I don’t really like biographies.
So I am starting on Life A User’s Manual next. We have two copies …
Extra copies? That’s Jeffervescent!
