Falcor is a very special dog from Glendee Dog Rescue, who is currently waiting for a home.
BTD: Why do you think you wound up in rescue, Falcor?
Falcor: I am a young lad (I’m no more than 2) and I am a handsome lad. So I think it’s because I’m just so special. Or maybe they just weren’t fans of The Neverending Story. But it might also be because I am deaf and I need a special human. And if you ask me, my humans just weren’t that special. But the humans at Glendee Dog Rescue are special.
BTD: You do bear a striking resemblance to Falkor the Luckdragon, from The Neverending Story. Do you have anything else in common with Falkor?
Falcor: Well, just like Falkor, I am very optimistic. And I am also very friendly. And just like Falkor, I am very helpful. I like to carry things for people, like my lead, or my toys, or the groceries (well, maybe). But I spell it with a C … for cute.
BTD: What is your favourite feature?
Falcor: My tail. Have you seen it? It is incredible! In fact, I’m not entirely sure, but I might be able to fly with a tail like this. I could certainly dust the table tops, that’s for sure. So that is another skill of mine, housework.
BTD: What is your ideal home?
Falcor: Unlike my namesake, I don’t think I would be very good around children. Mainly because I get so excited. I really love life. And sometimes I love it so much I could knock a little human over! But it’s just out of love, you know. I also don’t think I would like to live with a cat. Between you and me, I think I am just a bit terrified of them. Being deaf, cats have a habit of sneaking up on me and scaring me half to death. And you just know they know what they’re doing. So no cats please.
BTD: What is your number one need?
Falcor: I don’t need lots of exercise, but I do need lots of love.
BTD: What does it mean to be part of Be That 30 for 30?
Falcor: Well, I hope it means that my human will find me. Like my almost namesake says, “never give up and good luck will find you.”
